London 1881. This work issued in 2 volumes, but only Volume 2 is offered in this lot. 474 pages including index with a further 32 pages of Murray’s list of forthcoming works. This work is interesting in dealing with very early skiing with snowshoes in Lapland. Publisher’s dark grey boards, decorated and titled in gilt. Front free end paper detached.
