Sir Henry Newbolt ALS 1 1/4 pp 8vo on printed letterhead of Nether Hampton House Salisbury 8 July 1916. To a Miss Farran requesting , “Will you kindly make two copies of the enclosed (no longer present) which completes the Libretto of the Travelling companion . Please do it on the same blue paper” Lightly uniformly toned; with small chip to right edge text not affected . Sir Henry John Newbolt, CH (6 June 1862 – 19 April 1938) was an English poet, novelist and historian. He also had a role as a government adviser with regard to the study of English in England. He is perhaps best remembered for his poems “Vitaï Lampada” and “Drake’s Drum”. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
